updated on 07/05/2021

Given the health crisis, the admission procedure has been adapted to the circumstances. The dematerialized files must be uploaded on the Taiga platform before April 12, 2021. Eligibility results will be published on May 17. Eligible candidates will be invited to take their oral exams between May 31 and June 4, by videoconference.

Registration for admission to the 1st year is closed for the 2021/22 academic year.

Application requirements

In order to apply, candidates must hold the baccalaureate or an equivalent diploma, or be likely to meet this requirement before October 1rst of the current year. In the absence of the required diplomas, candidates may add a curriculum vitae to their administrative file, as well as a request for exemption, addressed to the Director, before January 31rst, 2021.

Application procedure

Candidates must pre-register on the Taïga platform between January 11 and February 13, 2021. After administrative verification of the admissibility of the application, the registration is registered and the candidate is invited to the tests. The invitation is sent by email on March 24.

Please note: you must submit only one application, duplicate applications will not be processed and no refund will be granted.

In the event of health restrictions, admissions will be dematerialised according to arrangements communicated in due course.

New examination procedures: all the tests take place on the same day for candidates

Candidates admitted to the competition will be convened between 15 and 23 April in the morning, between 7:45 and 9:15 am. The date indicated on their invitation will not be modifiable.

Eligibility phase: submission of an artistic dossier

The file is made up of original works or reproductions, at the candidate's convenience. The dossier must be presented in a single, easy-to-handle batch: maximum grape size, with a weight not exceeding 5 kg. It must be easy to unpack and put away. The items must be identified (candidates must ensure that they indicate their name or candidate number on the electronic files on the USB keys, and that the files are readable on both Mac and PC).

When the file is submitted, the candidate receives the subject of the drawing test, to be carried out in the morning, and to be given to the jury in case of eligibility. The candidate will have to bring his/her own personal equipment; the list of authorised equipment will be indicated on the invitation to the tests.

The pre-selection results will be posted between 12:15 and 1:00 pm.

Admission phase: interview with the jury, general culture and drawing

Candidates shortlisted in the morning are auditioned in the afternoon. They have a preparation time of 15 minutes during which they prepare the oral commentary of one or more images drawn at random, which they must briefly present to the jury. This presentation is followed by a discussion with the jury, which aims to assess the candidate's motivation, creativity and critical reflection on their own work. The drawings made during the morning are presented to the jury.

Results: The admission results will be published on the school's website on May 17th.
